The only personal information we collect is your name and email address, which you give us when you sign up to our newsletter, register interest or contact us on our website.


3. Why we use your email and our legal basis

We use your email address to send you newsletters / updates / offers about our own events / music / general updates. We do this on the basis of your consent, which you give when you sign up, and you can withdraw it at any time. If you email us, we will also use your email address to reply. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in responding to queries.

We will not use your email for any other purpose without telling you first.

4. Who we share your email with

We do not sell your email address. We share it only with:

  • Mailchimp (operated by Intuit Inc.), which we use to store our mailing list and send our emails. Mailchimp acts only on our instructions and may not use your email address for its own purposes. You can read Mailchimp's privacy policy.

  • Our website host, Squarespace, which runs our site and its sign-up form.

  • Authorities, if the law requires us to.

We do not pass your email address to any other organisation for their own marketing.

5. Transfers outside the UK

Mailchimp stores our mailing list in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on a safeguard approved under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Addendum included in Mailchimp's Data Processing Addendum.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you have not opened any of our emails for 24 months, we may delete your address. Emails you send us are kept for up to 12 months after we reply.

7. Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing rosa@rosamae.uk. Under UK data protection law you also have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you

  • ask us to correct or delete it

  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it

  • withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it)

  • ask us to send your data to another organisation

There is no charge, and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us.
